Soy colombiana de nacimiento, pero argentina por adopción. Nací en la montañosa Bogotá aunque hace trece años que vivo entre la planicie y el mar en Mar del Plata, Argentina con mi esposo y mi hijo de nueve años. Estudié ingeniería química en Colombia y alcancé a ejercer la profesión ocho años, sin embargo, por razones personales me retiré y comencé a estudiar ilustración en 2019, en diferentes talleres en Buenos Aires y Mar del Plata . En el presente estoy cursando el posgrado en ilustración en la Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA). La inclinación por las artes visuales y el diseño siempre estuvieron ahí, pero tal vez no tuve la valentía de estudiar una carrera afín desde el comienzo, sin embargo, es posible que la vocación sea algo que se encuentra tarde o temprano si se está dispuesto a realizar el cambio aunque no sea fácil.
I am Colombian by birth, but Argentine by adoption. I was born in the mountainous city of Bogotá, although for the past thirteen years, I have been living in the flatlands by the sea in Mar del Plata, Argentina, with my husband and my nine-year-old son. I studied chemical engineering in Colombia and practiced the profession for eight years. However, due to personal reasons, I retired and started studying illustration in 2019, attending various workshops in Buenos Aires and Mar del Plata. Currently, I am pursuing a postgraduate degree in illustration at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). The inclination for visual arts and design was always there, but perhaps I didn't have the courage to pursue a related career from the beginning. However, it's possible that one's calling is something that is discovered sooner or later if you are willing to make the change, even if it's not easy.
