Soy Almendra, pero nací Verónica. Verónica me dio mi identidad, mi experiencia de vida, y cuando me visto de Almendra, transformo y resignifico su esencia en arte, en sonidos, imágenes y letras.
Soy de Ushuaia y llegué a este mundo muchísimos inviernos atrás. Viví mi infancia, adolescencia y juventud en una isla rodeada de montañas, lagos, bosque y nieve. Ya de adulta decidí emigrar y mi vida dio un giro contundente.
Me convertí en nómada, estudié ilustración, y la gente, las diferentes culturas y la naturaleza se transformaron en mis grandes fuentes de inspiración. El arte en todas sus formas me acompañó desde pequeña y el tiempo y las vueltas de la vida, moldearon mi profesión, mi sentido de ser.
La ilustración me permite contar historias, jugar, crear, darle vida a personajes que en algún lugar del universo tengo la certeza de que verdaderamente existen. A través de la ilustración también me expreso y comparto valores, ideas y sensaciones. Es mi hogar, es mi refugio, es mi esencia y también mi ventana al mundo. Así se siente dedicarse a lo que una ama.

I am Almendra, but I was born Verónica. Verónica gave me my identity, my life experience, and when I dress as Almendra I transform and redefine her essence into art, in sounds, images and words.
I am from Ushuaia and I came into this world many winters ago. I lived my childhood, adolescence and youth on an island surrounded by mountains, lakes, forest and snow. As an adult I decided to emigrate and my life took a decisive turn.
I became a nomad, I studied illustration, and people, different cultures and nature became my great sources of inspiration. Art in all its forms accompanied me since I was little, and time and the twists of life shaped my profession, my sense of being.
Illustration allows me to tell stories, play, create, give life to characters that somewhere in the universe I am sure truly exist. Through illustration I also express myself and share values, ideas and sensations. It is my home, it is my refuge, it is my essence and also my window to the world. This is how it feels like to dedicate yourself to what you love.
